Max is an outstanding personal trainer with incredible knowledge and experience. He has a deep understanding of the body, fitness, and nutrition, and he’s able to tailor his approach to suit anyone — from men to women, including those going through menopause. What makes Max exceptional is how considerate he is of how you’re feeling on the day. He listens, adapts, and ensures every session is customised to your needs. Having retired from general practice 15 months ago at the age of 65 I was keen to put in place a healthy aging regime. It requires a multifaceted approach looking at many aspects of one’s life (including sleep habits,mental health ,weight management, nutrition and exercise ) I have found being a member of Wonga Health and Fitness a wonderful tool to help meet my goals I can do a variety of classes including cardio , strength. ,Pilates ,stretch and yin yoga giving me a great balanced approach to manage many of the vital ingredients née drab to age well and keep on top of my health The classes are small so you are given lots of one on one attention ( important to help with technique and prevention of injury especially for older clients who have not done much gym work in the past ) The small boutique gym offers a welcoming non daunting arena in which to set your goals , and has a great community feel with lots of friendly faces to greet you In addition one can use the sauna and get the benefits of this gentle heat therapy , engage in reset challenges that provide goals to work to and great general nutrition and other advice So if you are an older person keen to enter the space of healthy aging but feel daunted by large noisy impersonal gyms I can highly recommend Wonga Health and Fitness

This boutique gym is the ideal fit for my lifestyle, particularly with its emphasis on small group sessions. Each workout is a concise 45 minutes, making it effortless to incorporate into my hectic schedule. What truly sets Wonga Health apart is its vibrant sense of community. It feels like a second home, where everyone—regardless of age, fitness level, or gender—is warmly welcomed and encouraged. The variety of membership options is excellent, allowing me to explore diverse workout styles, including strength training, cardio, core exercises, and stretching. The trainers at Wonga Health deserve special recognition. They are not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly patient, offering personalized guidance and support that caters to individual needs. Their expertise has been instrumental in boosting my confidence and progress in every class. One standout feature is the boxing and Muay Thai classes. Unlike standard cardio boxing classes offered elsewhere, Max incorporates a substantial amount of technical training, leveraging his deep expertise in Muay Thai (Thai boxing). It’s incredibly rewarding to see my technique, strength, and cardio fitness improve simultaneously. Overall, Wonga Health and Fitness Studio is an exceptional place to pursue your health and fitness goals while being part of a supportive, uplifting community. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!
